Kaiko Maintenance & Technical Services (Pty) Ltd was established in 2023 to address a growing need within South Africa’s industrial sector: the shortage of skilled, compliance-driven electrical and automation specialists capable of delivering reliable solutions in complex operating environments.

The company operates under a dual-director governance structure, combining strong technical leadership with sound commercial, financial, and compliance oversight. This structure ensures accountability, consistency, and long-term strategic alignment across all projects.

Kaiko serves clients across municipal, industrial, manufacturing, and public infrastructure sectors, positioning itself as a specialist contractor with scalable capacity.

Our Story

Kaiko was founded in response to recurring challenges experienced across the industry—skills shortages, under-resourced projects, compromised safety standards, and poor long-term planning.

With extensive experience across Eskom, municipal infrastructure, heavy industry, manufacturing, processing plants, and automation environments, the directors recognised the opportunity to build a company grounded in quality workmanship, compliance, and sustainability.

The name Kaiko carries personal and strategic significance. It is derived from the names of the directors’ children, Kaia and Koah, symbolising continuity, growth, and generational legacy. This philosophy shapes Kaiko’s long-term approach: building an engineering business designed to endure, evolve, and create lasting value.
